The convention passed several resolutions including one supporting the Gulf War and denouncing the Pentagon's policy of discharging openly gay and lesbian soldiers. NFLCC has sent a letter of condemnation to the White House and the Pentagon.

GLAAD/NY names new executive director
New York--The Board of Directors of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation/New York chapter announced that Ellen Carton has been chosen for the Executive
Director post at the media watch organization. Carton will oversee programs designed to promote greater understanding and visibility of lesbian and gay people within the mass media and society at large.
March on Washington set for '93
At a weekend planning meeting at the Chicago's Allerton Hotel August 3rd-4th, lesbian and gay leaders from 26 states, grassroots representatives and more than 50 local or regional groups including non-gay ones who support lesbian and gay rights unanimously approved a march on Washington set for April 25, 1993.
